Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Practice Coordinator to join our dedicated team at our medical practice in Frederick, MD. The Practice Coordinator will serve as a key point of contact for staff, patients, and providers, ensuring efficient daily operations, exceptional patient service, and compliance with medical and administrative protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Oversight:

Coordinate daily front office and back-office operations.

Schedule patient appointments and manage physician calendars.

Oversee patient intake, insurance verification, and billing processes.

Patient Experience:

Ensure a welcoming and organized patient environment.

Address patient questions and concerns promptly and professionally.

Manage patient records, ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Staff Coordination:

Serve as a liaison between medical staff and administrative personnel.

Assist in hiring, training, and supervising support staff.

Monitor workflow efficiency and recommend improvements.

Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure the practice adheres to local, state, and federal healthcare regulations.

Maintain accurate logs and reports related to operations and patient care.

Assist in preparation for audits, inspections, or accreditation reviews.

Technology & Systems:

Utilize EHR systems (e.g., Athenahealth, Epic, or similar) for scheduling, charting, and communication.

Coordinate IT support needs and manage equipment or software issues.

Qualifications:

MUST BE BILINGUAL - ENGLISH AND SPANISH

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred).

2+ years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Proficiency in medical terminology, insurance procedures, and EHR systems.

Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
